Toilet Seats

By rolando · January 2, 2009 · Filed in Civility, Why Not?

Why is it that men have to lower the toilet seats for women?  Why shouldn’t women raise the toilet seats after they get done?  Besides, it’d help stop men from urinating on the toilet seats because many of them are either too lazy to raise toilet seats when they are down.  Besides, it’s a known fact, what comes up must come down.  Let’s look at that, women know how to raise men.  Whatever that means?  I dare you to respond…Thanks, Rolando

Personnaly…. I would prefer that ALL toilet seats be ’spring-loaded’ in the up position. That way they are only down when you have to sit.

Even a guy has to sit down from time to time….. and it is always when you find the seat ’sprinkled with tinkle’.

Someone is going to read this reply and become a millionaire with my idea to ’spring-load’ toilet seats……..

This is so true! Equal rights for all!

Perhaps whoever CLEANS the toilet seat should have position preference.

I realize men have to sit to use the toilet every now and again, and if you’ve ever sat down on a toilet with the seat up by accident, you understand why women hate getting their bottoms soaked with toilet water.

And if for no other reason, it’s a convenience tax. All men have to do to urinate is unzip and pull it out. You rarely even use toilet paper. Women have a few more steps.

Until the days of spring loaded toilet seats, women will continue to insist the toilet seat be put down. Oddly enough, they trained a dog to put the toilet seat down in the movie Bruce All Mighty with Jim Carrey. If he can do it, so can you.

I’ll leave you with this thought: Rolando stated that women know how to raise men. There is nothing more frustrating than a woman that walks away once he’s raised. Don’t tempt us.

This is a subject I have never understood. If everyone put the LID down, EVERYONE would have to lift something. Lid only for us gals and lid plus seat for the guys.

All I can say is Janice, you’ll always be welcome in our home. Lid down. Simple.
